Moncini A. Hinay (Monci) is the Project Manager for the Sustainable Food Systems of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-Philippines), the world's largest and most experienced conservation organization and leading environmental solutions provider.

He joined WWF-Philippines in 2010 and has been overseeing the implementation of partnership projects to address the management of natural capital through landscape approach, food and nutrition security, climate-adaptive agriculture technologies, agribusiness development and financial literacy for over 5,000
smallholder farmers in more than 50 farming communities in the Philippines.


His previous development work experience included managing the implementation of the Medium and Small-scale Industries Coordinated Action Program II of the MASICAP MSME Development Foundation, Inc. where he extensively worked with Mindanao LGUs and Business Support Organizations (BSOs) in providing direct functional business extension services to MSMEs including smallholder farmers and artisanal fishers.


He is also co-founded Kids Who Farm, a Zamboanga City-based non-profit start-up and advocacy initiative which aims to inspire future farmers by educating the youth on the importance and value of food and farming and providing them a platform to participate meaningfully in local food systems solutions.


He is a recipient of the 2021 Peaceweaver Award for Environmental Security by the Interreligious Solidarity for Peace and the Zamboanga Basilan Integrated Development Alliance (ZABIDA) and the 2022 UPLIFT Award for Agriculture by the Manila Bulletin.


Monci, 38, has an undergraduate degree in Business Management (cum laude) from Father Saturnino Urios University, Butuan City.
