Mr. Cabanilla leads the Nutrient Requirement Unit at the Food and Nutrition Research Institute, Department of Science and Technology in the Philippines. His Unitinvestigates the energy and nutrient requirements of Filipinos across different age, sex and physiologic groups. His work has centered around nutritional assessment using stable isotope techniques, and in particular has looked at measuring human milk intakes, body composition, and total energy expenditure. Other research interests include assessment of vitamin A status and development of standards and tools towards improvement of nutritional status of the population.

Amelita C. Natividad is a Professional Food Technologist. She is a Supervising Science Research Specialist in charge of the Physical and Sensory Evaluation Section of the Food Development Center handling physical evaluation, sensory evaluation, package testing, microanalysis, evaluation of food product label and drafting of nutrition facts panel. She has conducted several industry trainings and workshops on sensory evaluation and on food labeling requirements for the US and the Philippines.
