Robby Carlo Tan is a Senior Science Research Specialist at the Department of Science and Technology- Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DOST-FNRI) and is a current board of director of the NDAP for Public Health. Recently, he is leading in the implementation of the Nutrition and Aging R&D and the establishment of the Nutrition Physiology Laboratory of the DOST-FNRI. His research work covers the areas of aging, epidemiology, physiology, dietary assessment and nutrition guidelines. 

Mr. Tan is a graduate of BS Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Santo Tomas and ranked 4th in the NDLE. He is a current PhD candidate at the Wageningen University and Research, the Netherlands where he  also obtained his Msc. in Nutrition and Health. In addition, Mr. Tan did a research internship  programme at the Erasmus Rotterdam Medical Center working on epidemiology, aging and advanced glycation end products.
